At the No Kings Santa Fe City March, 1A Santa Fe will be distributing whistle kits for people to wear and use.
Freedom of speech and freedom of expression can be used to protest Republican Fascism and the Trump regime beyond No Kings Day. We can use our free speech rights to promote and protect other civil rights, such as everybody’s right to be free from unreasonable seizure and to be given due process upon detention.
Wearing a whistle shows support and solidarity with those most at risk from ICE’s lawless and cruel tactics. That’s using freedom of expression to stand with our neighbors, friends, and fellow community members and to stand against the authoritarianism and xenophobia rampant in the U.S. federal government today.
If you want to help 1A Santa Fe distribute whistle kits along the march route, come to the gathering place for the City March around 11:50 am to noon to pick up a bunch to pass out.
